How to use Telescope Task

The Timeclock allows the user to monitor their time clocked in and out of work. The Admin(s) can also monitor their user’s Timeclock entries. To use the Timeclock, navigate using the main menu to the Timeclock section. From here, press the “Start Clock” button in the upper right to clock in. Press the “Stop Clock” button to clock out. Below the “Clock” button, you will see a list of previous clock in and out times. In later versions of Telescope, you will be able to select the task associated with your time entry to further facilitate task management.

You will receive a notification inside the app which will appear as a red number next to the Notifications section in the drawer menu.

For Telescope Web and Mobile: Select the Projects section from the drawer main menu. From the projects list, in the top right of the toolbar press the “Add project” button that looks like a plus (+) sign. From here, you can enter the project name, start date, due date, and assignees. The Projects section is where all of the task management actions are performed.

For Telescope Web and Mobile: From the Projects menu, select a project. Under the project will be a “+ Add Task” button. Upon selecting this button, a dialog will pop up asking for a name for the task and to select assignees. When you are finished entering info, press the “Submit” button. We encourage the use of tasks for the management of your workload.

For Telescope Web and Mobile: From the Projects menu, select a project. Find the Task under the project that you would like to add a subtask to. Click the Task expansion arrow (to the right of the task). There will be a button below that says “+ Add Subtask.” Press the “+ Add Subtask” button and a dialog will pop up. Add the subtask name and assignees and then press the “Submit” button. We encourage you to add subtasks to your tasks for better management of your tasks.

There is a “Mark Task Complete” icon to the right of the project/task/subtask (a circle with “Done?” below). If you click this icon, then the task is marked complete. You can then continue on with your task management as usual.

This function is available to admins only inside the web version of Telescope Task: Click the Admin section of the drawer menu. The second tab in the top left will say “Users.” Click this tab. Click the “+ add user” button at the bottom of the user list. Fill in required information for the new user and then click “Submit”. You can also click the “+” button in the top left to add users.

Telescope is accessed via your computer’s internet browser on the web or by Android application via the Google Play Store.

Yes, you will need an internet connection or connection from your smart phone provider to use Telescope.
